After being lucky enough to have enjoyed a three-week holiday to New Zealand last month, I admit that I was wondering with some trepidation what I would come back to - especially considering the fact that the general insurance industry is changing at a rate of knots.

On my return, I was very sad to hear of the untimely passing of Andrew Paddick, director-general of the Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB). He was a big part of this industry, and it will be interesting to see if the IIB eventually
