KPMG to face tribunal

KPMG is set to face serious penalties if allegations that it failed to correctly audit Independent Insurance are proven to be correct. The news followed the announcement that it will face an independent tribunal this year for alleged audit failures through an action bought by The Accountants' Joint Disciplinary Scheme after several years of investigation into the firm's audit of the 2000 financial statements of the insurer.
