- Footman James, part of the Open+ Direct Insurance Group, has appointed Paul Matthews as managing director. Paul has 25 years experience in the insurance industry. Paul takes over responsibility for the business from Peter James. Peter becomes executive chairman and will concentrate on his areas of expertise, particularly the ongoing development of specialist vehicle niche and affinity group relationships.
