The UK's major insurers have been found wanting when it comes to thestandards of their websites, according to new research.

The survey, conducted by internet solutions company The Driver Is,reviewed the websites of all of the FT500 companies, using 60 objectivecriteria to create a score out of 100, - and insurers were far from top ofthe class.

Among all companies, just seven achieved a five-star rating, and only 27attained a four-star rating. At the other end of the scale, 25% achievedno rating
