Folgate is working with e-comms specialist edgeIPK to develop a fully web-based claims-handling capability which will be rolled out in March this year.
The company would not reveal full details of the technology, but says that claimants will input a policy number prompting the system to select the product type and ask tailored questions.
Jeff Dodd, group IT manager, said that the new facility, which will be piloted in February, would accelerate the claims process and reduce the cost of paper
