Epsom-based Premium Credit has dismissed market rumours that it is looking to sell off its commercial lines business as "absolute rubbish".

A number of industry sources told Insurance Age that the premium finance company, which was acquired by credit-card giant MBNA in January this year, believed there was limited synergy between the commercial lines book and its focus on personal lines customers, and had already entered negotiations to sell off the book.

When MBNA acquired the premium finance
