Recent research conducted by financial outsourcer, Opal, has revealed that traditional financial services companies fear that supermarkets will pose the greatest threat to their business in the next decade.

The survey, carried out on behalf of Opal, was conducted among some of the largest leading financial services providers in the market, including high-street banks and building societies, specialist investment providers and insurers.

Senior individuals in the organisations were asked to rank
