With brokers not shy to get concerns and grievances off their chest and insurers quick to respond, this year's BIBA West Midlands study day lived up to its reputation as a forum for stimulating debate. Tim Collison reports.
The BIBA West Midlands study day has gained a reputation for being alively event - and this year was no exception. In fact, with
representatives from several of the major insurers and from the General
Insurance Standards Council (GISC) all fighting their corner, tempers
among some members of the broker audience became a little frayed.
Proceedings kicked off with a presentation from Policy Master's Simone
Romain on electronic commerce. Not surprisingly, brokers were all
ears.

FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m
