Brokers' professional indemnity insurance is under scrutiny by the
General Insurance Standards Council, according to past president of the
Chartered Insurance Institute Reg Brown.


Mr Brown said the GISC and Lloyd's are both considering whether their
requirements are too high, after reports brokers cannot find cover in the
current hard market. Mr Brown was speaking at a seminar on PI insurance
arranged by the Society of Financial Advisors.


He was hopeful for the future, however, stating that he
