The Electronic Trading Company, the Internet venture set up by ex-CSC
director Nick Southan and ex-Polaris manager Ronnie Johnston, is about to
go live with an online insurance facility for a major high-street
brand.


In conjunction with joint venture partner Crux Technologies, a South
African software house, ETC has spent over £2m developing the full-cycle
Internet trading technology.


As with Xelector (see page 8), the company will provide high-street brands
with both the technology and an insurer
