Lombard General Insurance is ceasing to write private motor business,and is transferring the underwriting of the account to GAN's personal
lines processing centre in Manchester, as part of the integration of the
two companies.
From 1 August, renewals on Lombard's 42,000 private motor policies - worth
approximately £10m in gross written premium - will be offered directly by
GAN. Lombard will withdraw all its private motor policies from this
date.
