David Bland will retire as director general of the CharteredInsurance Institute on 9 December, his 60th birthday. Mr Bland, who will
have completed 10 years' service at the CII when he retires, said: "I am
happy to be turning to new ventures, but I will retain many interests in
the insurance world - not least the insurance charities; and having
laboured long and hard to get my FCII, I will remain a keen supporter of
the institute."
