The most valuable asset of any company is its staff. And those businesses that train and develop their personnel will increase this value still further, says Jennifer Jarrett.

It is a most disappointing feature of insurance broking that so
little attention is paid to the formal training of staff. From a recent
survey of the market and from the anecdotal evidence that Insurance
Management Consultants (IMC) has obtained from many of its clients, it is
clear that few brokers have a planned and budgeted approach to
training.
