The insurance industry must take the initiative and tackle the confusion and concerns regarding the Financial Services Authority regime, insisted Eric Galbraith, chief executive of the British Insurance Brokers' Association in his opening speech at this year's BIBA conference.

Galbraith highlighted a number of areas of concern such as duplication of documentation and confusion around the interpretation of the rules between brokers and insurers as well as with customers.
