Groupama aims to launch its commercial lines extranet by summer2003.
The insurer wants to use the system to distribute products to 500 brokers
by the end of the year, after which it will gradually increase its
numbers.
Use of the extranet will be by invite only initially and regional brokers
placing business in their local market will be targeted first. The
extranet will be used to place smaller risks, with maximum sums insured of
£2.5m and premiums of £10,000 or under.
