Charities have welcomed the Home Office's latest research paper on the difficulties finding insurance cover but are still calling for urgent action from the government and insurers.
The charities raised their concerns at the Association of British Insurers charity conference, held at Loughborough University. Delegates reported that insurers are refusing to provide cover, or withdrawing specific cover such as child abuse. Delegates also criticised insurers' inability to recognise good risk
