A management crisis could be looming in the insurance industry with resignations increasing and wages trailing behind those of other sectors.

This was the conclusion of the 2004 National Management Salary Survey of more than 20,000 managers, which showed the number of insurance executives handing in their notice rose to 6.3%, compared with 4.7% in the year to January 2003.
