Credit insurance has the potential to become an important part of a broker's offering, said credit insurance provider Coface UK.
Coface UK currently works with 100 brokers but hopes to substantially grow its agency base in a heavily intermediated market. The Association of British Insurers' Annual Credit Insurance Statistics for 2002 show that 90% of credit insurance was sold through intermediaries, compared to 85% in 2001.
