Bryan Sanderson will take over as BUPA's chairman at the company's annual general meeting, 2001.
Mr Sanderson will join the BUPA board on 1 January as a non-executive director. He was formerly a group managing director of BP, and a chief executive of BP Chemicals. Mr Sanderson is taking over from Sir Bryan Nicholson, who will retire at the AGM after nine years as BUPA's chairman.

Industry reacts to discount rate change
