Scottish broker Giles has recently lost a contract to service the Macdonald Hotel chain - a premium costing £3.5m annually. However, it strenuously refuted allegations that this was over a billing issue. Macdonald awarded the contract to Aon last month and it continued to be underwritten by ST Paul Travellers.
