Insurer Cox is hoping its share price will rally further after hitting a low of 58p recently, following speculation about its reserves after acquisition talks with Highway were called off.

Its share price before negotiations began was 91p. It had recovered to 71p, as PB went to press, after Cox took a number of measures to reinforce the fact that its reserves are robust.
