Stuart Alexander has seen massive expansion since it was set up in a small office in Battersea in 1993. Alex Shead and Stuart Reid tell Tim Collison how it proved the sceptics wrong.
Many established brokers and intermediaries would now find it veryhard to get agencies and ride the fierce competition if they were starting
out in today's market place. However, one intermediary which has done just
that is City-based firm Stuart Alexander. Set up in 1993, the business has
gone from a team of just three to 34 staff, and has built up a premium
income of £11m from nothing.
The business was formed by Stuart Reid and Alex Shead, who are now
directors of the company. Both had worked
