The British Insurance and Investment Brokers Association has now
received all of the responses from its broker survey on a possible merger
with the IIB. A total of 700 votes were in favour of a merger, 78 were
against and 14 were unsure. Mike Williams, chief executive of BIIBA, now
plans to approach Andrew Paddick, director general of the IIB, in the hope
of some constructive dialogue.
