Use of the internet has revolutionised the relationship betweenpremium finance houses and brokers. Fear of the millennium bug - the
disaster that never happened - sparked things off two years ago.
"Up until Y2K, many brokers still did not have internet connections," says
Ian Jerrum, chief executive of Singer & Friedlander Insurance Finance.
"Millennium bug worries prompted them to upgrade their computer systems,
and it was at that point they decided to become web-enabled.
