Link Insurance wants to dramatically increase its house insurance
book during 2003, according to managing director Steve Tidd.


The Rubicon-owned underwriting agency wants to increase its £8m homeowners
book to £35m as part of its drive to double premium income year on
year.


It also hopes that writing more home insurance will make it less dependent
on the notoriously cyclical motor market.


Mr Tidd explained: "At the moment, we sell our mid net worth product
through about half a dozen brokers. However
