Five of the UK's top insurers say the soon-to-be implemented NHS
Recharge Bill, which will mean insurers having to pay for any treatment
resulting from a road traffic accident caused by their policyholder, will
lead to higher premiums. This has led Cendant Claims Plus to predict that
UK motorists will have to pay twice for the NHS - both through their
insurance premiums as well as their income tax payments.
