Aviva has achieved a worldwide combined operating ratio of 100% for its general insurance business with an operating result of £911m, up from £881m in 2002.
The COR for the UK and Ireland was 99% and 97% respectively. The COR from Aviva's UK personal lines business has remained steady at 101%, and its UK commercial lines business saw net written premiums increase by 11% to £2.1bn, with a COR of 96% - up from 102% the previous year.
