Recent figures from Misys show the increased use of electronic data interchange by brokers. In the year-ending February 2005, Misys systems were used to write 1.75 million policies via EDI - a 12.5% increase on the year-ending February 2004. Household EDI policies were up 26%, commercial vehicle doubled and bike more than trebled. Motor, being the most mature business line, showed an encouraging increase of 6%.
