Toronto-based insurance and reinsurance broker the RS Group has agreed to purchase a 49% stake in Lloyd's broker Dashwood, Brewer & Phipps for £1.5m. According to RSG, under the terms of the deal, it has agreed to place insurance in the London and Lloyd's markets through Dashwood, which was established 70 years ago and maintains an international presence with broad expertise in various classes including marine, motor, credit and aviation.
