Motor insurance premiums have increased by an average of nearly £200in the last six years, according to the AA's British insurance premium
index quarter two results. The AA calculates that prem-iums have risen by
nearly £100 in the last year. Since July 1994, the average premium has
gone up by nearly 53%, from £367 to £561. Premiums for comprehen-sive
cover rose by an average of £23.66 in the last quarter, non-comprehensive
premiums went up by an average of £32.58.
