Veterinary surgeries are frequented by pet-owners, particularly when the animals are young, so where better to target insurance packages, asks Jane Gilhespy.
High-street entrants to the pet insurance market such as Tesco's,Sainsbury's and Marks & Spencer have raised public awareness of the
availability of cover for animals and led to the introduction of a new
range of low-cost products. But while supermarkets may have delivered for
the mass-market consumer this is not necessarily the case for the
upper-end of the market.
