Financing a winner.

Premium finance in personal lines is proving to be a growth market. It is important that brokers do not neglect its substantial income-generating opportunities, says David Fanning.

Premium finance providers report a steady increase in the number and
value of personal lines policies being paid for in instalments. But such
arrangements account for only a small proportion of the market. "There is
still a long way to go before brokers use premium finance either to sell
insurance or to market add-ons to their clients," says Tony Worthy,
managing director of Singer and Friedlander Insurance Finance (SFIF), one
of the sector's newcomers.
