Underwriters are occasionally accused of living in a time warp.This is evident, in some cases, from the inclusion of long-defunct trades
and occupations in rating guides. A current case for revision is the
rating of vans and small trucks according to their weight and/or carrying
capacity.
These vehicles have long since diversified into a myriad of different
forms, worthy of their own grouping categories similar to those applied to
private cars.
