Courtesy of the Lord Chancellor, legal expenses underwriters anddistributors are soon to see a huge growth in product sales. The removal
of legal aid from virtually all non-criminal actions, the proposed
swingeing reduction in the asset ceiling for legal aid eligibility, and
the statutory recoverability of insurance premiums for after-the-event
policies have combined to make personal legal expenses insurance a
sensible precaution for policyholders not already covered by a compulsory
household
