Axa is shaking up the way it does business with brokers, after its
announcement of 700 staff cuts this month.


The insurer plans to cut back on the number of brokers it deals with,
after closing its Colchester personal lines call centre, its Cardiff
personal lines claims operation, and its Plymouth and Preston commercial
branches.


Peter Hubbard, chief executive of Axa, said the company expected its
