According to new research by Royal & SunAlliance, two-thirds of those
surveyed believe people would exaggerate a claim if they could get away
with it. The survey found that over 50% of respondents thought claims were
inflated by at least a third, and over two-thirds believed fraud to be
common practice. RSA also found that the most popular items for inflated
claims include: new carpets, jewellery, Tag Heuer and Rolex watches,
computers and widescreen televisions.
