Professional status was again under the spotlight at last month's BIBA Conference in Edinburgh. However, temperatures rose as Simon Bolam opened proceedings with a diatribe on the contentious issue of pricing. Tim Collison reports.

BIBA chairman Simon Bolam has gained a reputation for standing his
ground and speaking his mind. And, at last month's BIBA Conference in
Edinburgh, he left delegates in no doubt of his firm and forthright stance
on insurance company misdemeanours.
