The Joint Provisional Liquidators of Independent Insurance have
confirmed they have received enough support from the broking community to
enable a global settlement to proceed. The JPLs and the broker
representative group, which includes the British Insurance Brokers
Association, have been working over the past month to ensure brokers who
missed the 22 August deadline returned their compromise agreements. The
deal caters for the payments of time-on-risk premiums and commissions due
on return
