Royal & SunAlliance's UK business delivered a 0.8 point improvement in its combined operating ratio to 92.3% and a 4% increase in the underwriting result to £160m. RSA's commercial book saw its COR rise slightly to 92.6%, with the underwriting result reduced by £20m to £95m in 2006 on net written premiums of £1.77bn (2005: £1.8bn) from a total of £2.6bn.
