There are many 'basics' to take care of before brokers can re-open for business after the millennium festivities.

Forgive the grammar, but one of today's favourite expressions seems
to be 'it ain't rocket science'.


Some people may translate that to mean 'stating the obvious'. If you look
at why businesses or people succeed or fail, it is often because they do,
or fail to do, the simple things.


I was talking to a local golf professional the other day, who makes a
reasonable living from playing in pro-am tournaments, and I asked him what
he did on days when he was not playing. He told me that he practised.
