The Motor Insurers' Information Centre is to co-ordinate a databaseof individually insured motor vehicles in the UK. Established as a wholly
owned subsidiary of the Motor Insurers' Bureau, the database is the
brainchild of the Association of British Insurers general insurance
committee.
The system is scheduled to go live by the third quarter of 2001, with
insurers authorised to write motor business providing relevant information
for the database. The database is being compiled by Experian and
