Argent Insurance Group, part of Cox Insurance retail division, has acquired the Tomlinson group of businesses and stated its interest in further acquisitions.The Tomlinson deal doubles Argent's Midlands-based broking network from 8 to 16 high street branches. Argent's book of small to medium sized commerical enterprise insurance has been strengthened by the acquisition of Tomlinson's commercial business, and Argent now has greater geographical coverage in the north and south west Midlands.
