The direct division of Royal & SunAlliance is to axe almost 300 jobs
this year, with the closure of its customer service centres in Brighton
and Horsham.


The Brighton centre, which employs 90 people, will close on 9 April,
followed by the Horsham centre, employing 200, on the 9 July.


The move is being made in an effort to simplify the current system, under
which the insurer operates across eight sites.


But, Royal SunAlliance has reaffirmed that Horsham will continue as the
support office for the six
