Martin Sykes, managing director of Bradford-based Beaumonts Insurance Brokers, has warned the market that consolidation has caused the "strangling of opportunity" for potential broking entrepreneurs.
According to Sykes, broker consolidation has seen consequences such as the demise of start-up ventures and succession plans culminating in management buyouts.
