With more regulatory debate to come, unity among brokers is vital. Sensible action to push up rates would also help.
So that was Christmas then. All that fuss, and suddenly it's all overand back to the reality of insurance broking as we approach the
millennium.
I was tempted to do the traditional crystal ball gazing bit, but as last
January I predicted more insurer and broker mergers, and a greater
awareness of the Internet, I think I'll quit while I'm ahead.
However, it would not take a genius to predict that one of the major
preoccupations this year will be the evolution of new general insurance
regulatory
