David Prewer, formerly chief executive of the collapsed motor insurerDrake, has launched a new underwriting venture.
Kinetic Underwriting Concepts began trading on 2 Jan 2001, providing niche
products for the personal lines market. Initially focusing on motor, the
company hopes to include cover for household contents, travel and pets in
the near future. It aims to write products for clients whose occupations
make it difficult to get comprehensive cover, rather than underwriting for
market share.
