Southampton-based broker Burnett & Associates has launched a policyinsuring businesses against computer viruses and hackers.
The policy, called Electronic Risks Insurance, also provides cover for
loss of revenue if internet links fail. Underwritten by Lloyd's syndicate
Trenwick, it has been developed in conjunction with US and German
insurers.
Burnett & Associates specialises in computing and electronic insurance,
provides cover on computer hardware. It launched a direct sales website 18
months ago
