Axa 'cleanses portfolio' in latest workforce cuts announcement

Axa Insurance has announced that the implementation of 'operational efficiencies' will result in the loss of nearly 600 jobs.

Following an extensive review of its operations, it has been announced that 560 jobs across the company will be affected but the insurer insisted that no more than half would be redundancies. The remainder of that number would be achieved through natural attrition. This is the first round of job cuts for Axa following the 500 that were lost last September.
