Lawyers don't want to scrap FSA
Recent survey of insurance lawyers reveals opposition to Tory plans for regulation
The majority of industry lawyers do not support the Conservative Party's proposals to abolish the Financial Services Authority (FSA) according to a recent survey.
Only 7% of in-house lawyers in the insurance sector, questioned by international law firm Pinsent Masons, were for the Conservative Party proposal to replace the current system with regulation from the Bank of England and a new Consumer Protection Agency.
