Chaucer to launch new liability division

Chaucer Holdings, the diversified Lloyd's insurance group, has announced the establishment of a new international liability division within Chaucer Syndicate 1084.

To build and lead the new division, which will specialise in international professional and general liability and related classes, Chaucer has appointed Mark Lawrence as head of division.

He will report to John Fowle, active underwriter of Chaucer Syndicate 1084. Mr Lawrence is experienced in international liability business and will join Chaucer ahead of the division’s formal launch in the final quarter of 2010.
